What is it like?


A facilitator presents each lesson - the setting is relaxed and in classroom style.  There's plenty of opportunity for discussion of the material presented and no pressure if you prefer not to enter into the discussion.

The sessions run for approximately two and a quarter hours and there is normally a short interval when refreshments are served. 


The material is a blend of concepts and practices from many traditions including Christianity, some Plato and the Advaita tradition from India. There is a simple mindfulness or stillness exercise presented in the very first week for practice and consideration. Practice of this and other exercises are repeated at each class and students are encouraged to use them through the week.  Student feedback is usually vey positive following the practice of the  mindfulness exercise - with people being quick to recognise a profound release of stress which can follow.
